The Kills @ Pier 63, NYC – Converse City Carnage 8.18.2012

Finally got to shoot The Kills, and it was everything I ever thought it would be.

This was a great show, courtesy of Converse City Carnage.  There was supposed to be a thunderstorm that day according to the weather reports, but instead it was a beautiful, autumn-like evening in a great setting for a rock show.

The Kills were perfect, as expected and as usual.  Something that stood out to me while I was shooting in the pit, a lot of the photographers would stop, pull their camera away from their faces and just watch the band play.  I have never seen that happen before.  You only get three songs to shoot, so everyone is glued to their camera waiting for a moment, but at this show the photographers just had to watch, myself included.  See:….

He’s mesmerized…
